These are the companies that are hiring now, and most of the jobs you see advertised are for Javascript. The best developers know Javascript because it’s what they’ve used to build the functionality that they currently have.
But maybe you don’t want to be a Javascript developer? In that case, there’s still a lot to learn about Javascript.
How to learn Javascript for beginners

Building a website with JS
First things first: You don’t need to learn the full capabilities of Javascript to build a web app. While it is possible to create your own DOM-creating app with Javascript, we’ll instead use an established framework for our web app: AngularJS.
AngularJS doesn’t only have JavaScript capabilities built-in, though. It also has bindings to a variety of other technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and more. We’ll use AngularJS to create a single-page web application that connects to our API.
All of our code will be stored in the angularjs-sdk repository on GitHub. Feel free to clone it if you don’t already have a copy. In our setup, we will be using version 0.2.2 of AngularJS.
Build a basic project using JS
It’s good to start off by knowing how to build a basic project with Javascript. Remember that you’re going to be writing all of the code that makes up the website that you’re creating, so you need to know how to get started.
Note: We’re going to keep this article simple. We won’t include a lot of programming jargon that you don’t know about. If you get lost, don’t worry! That’s ok because this guide should teach you everything that you need to know!
